The President on Monday announced the appointment of Gaurav Dwivedi as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Prasar Bharti.
Gaurav Dwivedi, is an IAS officer from the 1995 batch and a member of the Chhattisgarh cadre.
After careful consideration by the Selection Committee, the appointment was made. After taking over the reins of former CEO, Shashi Shekhar Vempati, Dwivedi will serve as CEO for a term of five years.
“The terms and conditions of his appointment shall be governed by the provisions of the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act, 1990 and the rules made there under as amended from time to time,” said an order issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Monday.
He has worked in various capacities in Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Gaurav Dwived is presently serving as the CEO of MyGov under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.
